Just a Quiet Afternoon with the Kids

 

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Probably the question most asked of you in school. The twins certainly have their own idea's. Kiara's response was a little more spontaneous than even the teacher imagined.....at least she's honest. Check out the video.

Kiara's Ingenuity

Just last night at dinner Kiara showed us just how old fashioned determination can overcome almost anything. Left to her own devices she developed, wholly independently, a strategy to hold a wonky arm steady so that she could shovel her mouth full of some potato salad of which she ended up having three helpings. That girl sure liked that potato salad. The camera happened to be near….so I shot some video, check it out.

New Bicycles

The boys got new bicycles as they have both outgrown the little 12” frame models they had before…..they moved up to 16” frame bikes. YIKES they are big, it took until the second day until, even with training wheels, Colm went for a tour over a curb and got himself some good road rash. I’m not absolutely sure but Julie and I both suspect that Owen may be the first of the boys riding without training wheels. He is fearless and loves to ride, Colm….not so much.

Twins at StoryBook Gardens

The twins had an “end of the school year” trip to Story Book Gardens in London with their school. Ju attended as a chaperone and ended up getting soaking wet traipsing into the splash pad with Kiara…..she is a dedicated Mom.

Road Trippin'

It has been a while since I have blogged last. We had the occasion to go to my sister’s (Crystal Stather) wedding in Belleville and visit my moms farm up there. It was a long drive made easier with the advent of modern video technology. The boys got to ride in a tractor and feed the beef cattle that Papa Jim keeps on the farm. Check out the Pictures....
