On Safari

We had a great (but full) day yesterday at the African Lion Safari. What a great park. The Baboons of course were the highlight for the kids as they crawled all over the vehicle but Mom and Dad had a great time too. Kiara got to ride a horse which was great, she could not wipe the smile off her face. It is worth noting as well that she was the only one brave enough to actually go on the horse. Colm said no thanks when offered and Owen chickened out just before it was time to commit. PS. - Colm's JK teached apparently taught him how to "pose" for the camera.....we may never have the opportunity for a candid photo again.

Lake Swimming

We were invited and had a great time at Ted & Char's house last weekend for Ted's birthday celebration. The kids had a great time swimming. Such a nice property. We'll definately be doing that again this summer.

Kiara at "Exercise Camp"

Kiara spent the last two weeks at, what she refers to as, "Exercise Camp". This is really Conductive Education Camp. Julie spent week number one with her and I did week number two. The camp is much harder on Mom and Dad's body than Kiara's. She had a good time and learned some good stuff so, all in all, a good two weeks. Some Picture highlights.....

Super Happy Fun Day - Dad & the Boys

Kiara and Mom had a camp to be at on Canada Day and that left the boys and I to our own devices. We decided to make a whole day doing whatever we liked. We started out early and had breakfast at McDonalds. Then we planned on going to Greenview Aviaries so we stopped at the grocery store to purchase some food for the animals. Cheerios, carrots, celery and peanuts were purchased...off we went to the zoo. We toured around and fed many animals at the zoo....the boys had a blast. We then availed ourselves to all the lovely playground equipment that they have. We were there early so the kids really owned the place. We then took a run at their new Splash Pad.....turned out to be great. Off for lunch, but where to? McDonald's again......Oh well it's not as if the boys and I get this opportunity often. McDonald's it is!

Then off to the Wild Zone at the Wheels. Wow what a blast. I tool the boys to watch the go karts, not expecting that they would invite them on......watching Owen (3 years old) drive a real gas powered go kart was funny. (see video).

We rode the “crazy school bus ride inside, that was fun. Then it was time for the “jungle gym climber maze thing” they have at the Wild Zone. The kids ripped through it for over a half hour then it was time to go.....off to the Sugar Shack for some Ice Cream before meeting Mom and Kiara at Home......what a great opportunity to spend time with the boys. Hopefully we can do it again soon.
